Clark Bierbaum

Post Production Consultant / Colorist

A twenty five year industry veteran, I graduated from USC with a BA in Media Arts and have been an integral part of every phase of pre-production, production and post production on hundreds of projects.

I worked for Crawford Post in Atlanta where I was the first non - linear engineer and setup Crawford's first Avid system. By the end of my time at Crawford I supervised five onsite and two rental suites. In the telecine department at Crawford, I worked on the series "In the Heat of the Night" and Time / Life's "Lost Civilizations." After Crawford I moved to VTA in Atlanta I worked as a colorist, restoring more than twenty -five classic MGM features such as Erich von Stroheim's 1924 "Greed," short subject films and the Warner Brothers "Bugs Bunny" cartoons. Moving to Rainmaker in Vancouver, BC, I was colorist for series such as "Poltergeist" "The Outer Limits" and numerous commercials and motion pictures.

I moved to Charlotte NC where I opened Post Central's telecine department as Senior Colorist and telecine engineer. Within two years, I completely upgraded the suite installing all the equipment myself - even driving the truck from New York. After Post Central was purchased by the Film Foundry, I again designed and built a new "Finishing Suite" with both telecine and Quantel's iQ non-linear finishing system. While with Post Central and the Film Foundry I devised the post production path and was colorist for "A Closer Walk," a feature length documentary shot around the world on Super 16mm film, was colorist for Slamdance award winner "Tacklebox," and was colorist / finishing artist for hundreds of commercials, short films and corporate pieces. After the Film Foundry I helped to design and build two Post Production facilities in Charlotte and assisted with the design and build out of Puerto Rico's premiere telecine facility. I am currently a Post Production Consultant and Colorist.

I look forward to working with you on your next project!
